What is Insomnia?
It’s is a very common and a widespread problem. A form of sleep disorder, where the sufferer struggles to fall asleep at night.
Impacts of Insomnia
Insomnia has several adverse affects, causing distress, lack of energy, decrease in productivity, feeling lethargic, agitated, and so on which hampers one from having a healthy life.

Night Sleep is an essential process, as for it is the time when the body repair and rejuvenation takes place.
There are various stages of sleep and hence varied repair activities. Which is why it’s not only the sleep that’s essential, but also the number of hours one sleeps.
Minimum 7 to 8 hours of sleep would work wonders. Though for growing babies and toddlers, 12 hours of sleep time through out the day and night is considered healthy for their growth and development.
What Causes Insomnia?
Too much stress, anxiety, work life imbalance, lack of exercise, psychological issues, depression, loneliness, medication, chronic illness, are some of the many causes of insomnia.
Unfortunately it converts into a habit if not re-mediated early on.

No matter what I try, counting sheep’s, drinking a glass of warm milk, counting slow breadth, imaginary stars, listening to calming music, it has only kept me more awake.
